Data we collect
From the contact form: name, email address, consultation preference, optional timeline, and message content. During an engagement we may process CVs, career history, and notes required to deliver outplacement advice. Server logs may include IP address and basic technical data.
Purposes and legal bases
We process enquiry data to respond to your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where steps are taken at your request prior to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interest in answering professional enquiries). Engagement data is processed to perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). Essential cookies are processed as required for the site to function; analytics cookies only with consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Retention
Unsuccessful briefing enquiries are typically deleted within 12 months. Engagement records are retained for up to 10 years where commercial or tax documentation requires it, otherwise deleted when no longer needed. Cookie consent choices remain in your browser until cleared.
Recipients and international transfers
We use hosting and email providers that may process data inside the EU/EEA. If a transfer outside the EEA is required, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable under the GDPR. You may withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
